Apple Cranberry Crisp

Apples

Everyone has their own favorite Apple Crisp recipe or memory. The Artful Living Blog first tried this one, in similar variations, courtesy of Alfalfa’s Market cafe in Boulder Colorado -while in grad school. Love at first taste. A perennial favorite then, with crisp apples and a mix of seasonal berries or rhubarb. Now we really enjoy the flavor combination of tart fresh cranberry with apple. Suits the season. Such a simple, wholesome dessert to create, and so delicious to eat.

Vegan Apple Cranberry Crisp, Using fresh Fall ingredients, this is a great October treat to bake when the apples are ready to pick, and the weather gets a little cooler outside. We love how the whole house fills with the sweet aromas of apple, vanilla, and spice. Warms the soul. Using this season’s organic apples, hand-picked from the orchard, just makes the whole thing that much sweeter.
